Katie’s Retro Pick of the Week – The Skull Lace Skirt

Our favorite skull lace skirts came back into the warehouse this week!  They’re cute, comfortable, and easy to mix and match with your fave basic tops.

The classic Lucky Lace Skirt is back this season, in the original black, and the new Kiwi color.  The black or white contrast skull lace at the bottom and solid black buttons complement the straight pencil skirt shape, and will match up perfect with our basic Miss Fancy tops or the open-backed Magnolia bow top.

And new for Spring is the Sweet Skull Lace skirt.  It has the same subtle skull lace trim at the bottom, but we added matching belt loops and belt to accentuate the waist.  These also pair up with our Miss Fancy mesh tops.  Or pair up the chestnut skirt with the matching black and chestnut Magnolia Bow top.

Katie’s Retro Pick of the Week – Rock Steady Wrap Dresses

Our spring/summer event season is in full swing, with two Steady Booths this weekend (locally at the Punk Rock Picnic and up north at the Dream Machine show), and it’s a beautiful day outside, so I can’t help thinking of the perfect summer styles for this year.

And one of those perfect summer styles is the wrap dress.  It’s cute and comfy, sexy and wearable!  The bodice of our wrap dresses have a boning detail that will hold it up and keep the dress in place, without straps.  And the skirt is a full wrap, so don’t worry about anything peaking out!

The original wrap dress, the Ella Wrap, is available in black or ruby, and has contrast buttons running down the edge of the wrap skirt.

And new to stores this week is our Atomic Tiki Wrap dress!   It’s the same great fit, but with a retro hula flower print along the bodice and edge of the wrap skirt.

Katie’s Retro Pick of the Week – Men’s V8 Shirts

Our new Spring 2012 styles are trickling into the warehouse, including some new retro styles for the guys.  We love our V8 shirts, and this season we added a new V8 style, with some pin striping detail on the panel.

New to stores this week is the Steady Last Call V8 Pinstripe Panel shirt, available in black or navy.  These shirts have a contrast panel with a detail print, and contrast pocket. 

 

If you like the V8 logo, but prefer a little less flash, try our Boss Button Up in black or navy.  These shirts have a double contrast panel with detail stitching and the V8 logo embroidered on the chest.

 

Or stick with two of our old favorites, the classic V8 Racer and the V8 Panel shirt!  The V8 racer is available in black or navy, with double stripes and  silver V8 buttons.  The V8 Panel shirt comes in black or charcoal, with center contrast and the V8 logo embroidered on the sleeve, as well as the V8 button detail.

Katie’s Retro Pick of the Week – Rock Steady’s 2012 Swimwear Collection

Two of our Spring/Summer swim suits came in to the warehouse this week, and we’re so excited for them to hit our stores, that I had to choose our 2012 Swimwear Collection to highlight this week.

First in (and already in some stores), is our newest addition, the baby blue Two Piece suit.  This sexy little suit has an adjustable halter strap, white bow detail on the front, and our signature side rouching and ruffle.

 

Our basic black Classic Retro Suit is also back this year!  It’s super slimming and flattering to all figures, with a halter tie to get the perfect fit.  The retro style also features a small red button perfectly placed at the chest.

 

Inspired from our Classic Retro Suit, the Hello Sailor Retro Suit has the front tie detail, and is available in navy or red.  This pin-up classic fits like a dream, and like all our suits, is completely wearable and swimable.  So don’t be afraid to rock these pool side or do a couple laps in them.

The Steady Scene – Headed out to the Lone Star Roundup!

Las Vegas is always a blast!  Thanks to all our friends, new and old, who stopped by the booth and did some shopping with us at Viva.  We can’t wait to get out to the city of sin again for Punk Rock Bowling.

Katie’s Retro Pick of the Week – Spring Tanks!

Our Rock Steady Spring Tanks have just hit the warehouse!  They’re super cute, extra comfy, and the perfect Spring staple.  Wear them out with your fave jeans during the day, or layer them with a cardigan or sweatshirt for chilly spring nights.

My favorite this season is the Muneca Rusa Russian doll tank.  It’s available in black or white, and features a matching bow detail on the neckline.

 

A Rock Steady classic print is the Til Death Slub Tank.  This tank features a racer style back, and is extra long.

 

If you’re headed out to Vegas for Viva, or just love a good Mai Tai, then you definitely need our Leaky Tiki Lounge tank in black or grey.  This is printed on our lightweight jersey tank!

 

And last, but not least, is the Tatted Keyhole Tank, featuring a peek-a-boo print of our own Rock Steady tattooed lady.

Katie’s Retro Pick of the Week – New Sale Items!

We just created a new “Sale” section at Shop-Steady.com, where you can grab some end of season styles super cheap!  So this week I had to pick some of my fave styles from last season for my Retro Pick of the week.  Make sure to head over to our webs hop and grab some of these while they last, because once they’re gone, that’s it!

Katie’s Retro Pick of the Week – New Guys Tees for Summer

We can’t wait for all the new Spring/Summer styles to start hitting stores!  Our new tees are already coming in to the warehouse (we need all those new styles for Viva!) and will be landing in stores over the next couple weeks.  And I thought the guys out there might like a little sneak preview of what’s to come, so my Retro Pick of the Week is all about new Rock Steady tees for the fellas!

One of our brightest and favorite tees for the psychobilly/greaser/hot-rod guy is the Speed N Splinters tee.  We just did a test run, and the color on this tee is just as bright as it looks here, featuring our Kustom Kulture flaming tiki guy.

 

For the gent with a sense of humor (or a thick wallet) we have the Gold Diggers tee.  Every guy loves handlebar mustaches, brass knuckles, and skulls right?  “Always leave with a fistful of nuggets” 

There’s also a couple new day of the dead artwork tees, including this single color, gun-toting skull art, the Lock & Load tee.
